Erin Hughes is a Chartered Flood Engineer with Engineers Australia and has more than 13 years’ experience specialising in hydrological and hydraulic modelling and investigations. Erin has served as both technical lead and project manager on a wide range of projects, including design flood hydrology, dam consequence assessments, a dam safety projects for government and industry clients.

Erin currently is the Queensland Regional Manager at HARC and is the ANCOLD’s Emerging Professional Representative for Queensland. Though these roles,  Erin is committed to sharing knowledge across the dams industry through the delivery of ANCOLD events and authoring/co-authoring ANCOLD papers.

Passionate about engineering education and capacity building, Erin has developed and delivered education programs in regional Australia and remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities for over a decade. She also collaborates with universities through guest lecturers and mentorship of students to increase awareness of career opportunities within the dams industry.
